Nigel Twinn – Family History Research

I am the custodian of the international family tree of the Twinn (Twin/Twynne/Tween etc.) family .

We have a database of over 14,000 people, of whom about 2/3rds to 3/4trs are related to the main ‘trunk’ of the tree. This figure includes a large number of descendants who are not necessarily named ‘Twinn’, but are nonetheless blood relations.

A recent version of the Twinn Family Tree is always available on the ‘Public Member Trees’ section of Ancestry.co.uk, but it is constantly changing as new information comes to light.

If you are a Twinn – or are descended from one – there is a strong chance that you will be related to us. So please feel free to get in touch. Your own data – especially if you live outside of the UK – would be most welcome.

Two international Twinn Family Gatherings have been held in Cambridge, UK (in 2005 and 2010). In due course, we may attempt to hold another. Please let me know of you would be interested in attending such a gathering.

A paperback book ‘The Ever Flowing Stream‘ – a history of the Twinn family has been compiled by Graham Twinn of Cambridge, UK. If you would like to purchase a copy of it, please let me know – and I will forward on your information to Graham.
